| Wapogasset fished extremely tough this past weekend. 14" fish proved very hard to find. Only the team of Ryan Dickey and Nick Wilson were able to scratch out a limit for the day. With that catch and Tom Harkman only managing 2.98 lbs, Nick lifts himself back into third place overall, 3.4 lbs behind overall, and 0.2 lbs behind Jeff Wilson. The season will finish up, and the AOY race determined at Bone Lake on September 18th.

Today on Medicine Lake, Russ Cooper and Kevin Nelson slammed a huge limit of bass. Their 5 fish weighed 20.66 pounds, which gives them the 2nd all-time biggest bag in Sunrise history. Perhaps more impressive, is that it is the largest non-paper tournament weight in Sunrise history by almost two pounds. Great job guys!

Like a bunch of Mailmen, Sunrise Bassmasters fished through rain, snow, sleet, and hail this past Saturday. And despite the challenging weather, alot of fish were caught throughout the day, with five of the seven boats bringing in limits. The ad-hoc team of Tom Harkman, Jeff Wilson and Nick Wilson came out on top with a bag of 5 largemouth going for 14.04 pounds. The club visited Grand Rapids to fish Pokegama over the weekend. Saturday was cold, overcast, and windy, but the fishing was very good. The weather did a 180 when the skies cleared and warm weather finally moved in on Sunday. The water was very clear and calm Sunday, making it more challenging to locate and catch fish.
- Pokegama will be the location of the 2009 MNBFN Tournament of Champions, starting September 10th.
