Forest Lake:
What a beautiful day! The sun was shinning & the temp was in the mid 80's. Everyone came in with their limit but one
pair would taste victory! Adam & Nick pounded docks in very shallow water and came in with the bag! 16.76lbs. & Big
Fish 3.82lbs. Slug Go's & Senkos were it! The rest of the field weighed in with just over a pound separating them from
second to last. Other baits of choice were frogs, jig worms & assorted plastics. Nice job Adam & Nick. Adam leads
the AOY, but Nick, Sean & Kevin are on his heels! Can't wait for the Green Lake Crawl! |

Island Lake Reservoir Day One:
The Day started out cloudy & rainy. The fish were biting and we hooked them. Soft plastic & jerk baits seamed
to do the trick. We had a great day & just as the tournament wrapped up the rain ended! This was the first time
in Sunrise History that No largemouth bass were brought in! All Smallies!! Congrats to Joe, Adam & Sean!

Island Lake Reservoir Day Two:
We wroke up to very nice weather, too nice. The smallies had moved off structure near the shore
and were scattered. We threw the kitchen sink but came up a little empty. The rain would have been a
weclome site. For the second day in a row, No largemouth! Congrats Joe, Nick & Sean! |

Balsam Lake:
The day started out great, but by 9:00am the temperature started to climb & the wind began to howl! Balsam Lake was not kind to the Sunrise Bassmasters.
Congratulations to Jeff & Sean who came in 1st with a meager 3 fish that weighed 4.90lbs. Ryan & Kevin N. followed in 2nd with 3 fish weighing 4.19lbs. John & Nick came in with the BIG fish, 2.08lbs!!
Jigs, jerkbaits, and spinners seemed to somewhat work. All & all this was a real tough day. Hopefully the Island lake Reservoir Double Rumble will be kinder to the Bassmasters! |
